Book Clubs

After reading Comprehension and Collaboration by Stephanie Harvey and Harvey Daniels, I decided to try Literature Circle Inquiries in the form of a Book Club with my students.My students in ELA A30 chose a novel written by a Canadian author that they would like to read and formed a Book Club with other students that chose the same book as them. They had five Book Club meetings in total. I thought that my students were engaged in their book clubs. They will write a Literary Analysis after they complete their books. I have attached my handouts below if you would like to try this with your students:
